How to avail of the offer
Airtel is offering 5GB of free mobile data to its 4G users. The free data is offered in form of 1GB coupons and they will get credited to the users’ account within 72 hours after recharge. If you are a new 4G user or have upgraded to 4G recently note that you will have to register on the ‘Airtel Thanks’ app within 30 days of the activation of your new mobile number to avail of free 5GB data. Once you get the coupons, you can redeem them by visiting the “My Coupons” section in the above-mentioned app.
How to redeem
The users can redeem each 1GB coupon in 3 months from the day of credit. Once the users redeem, the free data will remain active only for three days. Other than this, if you are already using 4G but haven’t downloaded the mentioned app, then also you can avail of 2GB free data, if not the entire 5GB.
Other free data offer
Airtel recharge is also offering up to 6GB of data on its web portal. However, the company declares that users will have to recharge with an unlimited recharge plan to avail of this free data. Users will get 6GB free data with a validity of 84 days if they purchase the plan priced at Rs. 598 or higher plan. While Airtel won’t credit all 6GB free data at once, the users will get six coupons each of 1GB free data.
Similarly, on the prepaid recharge of Rs.399 or a higher amount, you will get four free coupons each of 1GB with a validity of 56 days. Airtel will credit two of these 1GB coupons if you buy a prepaid plan of Rs. 219 or higher. This coupon comes with a validity of 28 days. Do not forget that you have to recharge through the Airtel Thanks app which you can easily download through Google Play Store as well as the Apple Store. Thus, if you are a new 4G Airtel user and plan to purchase Rs. 598 prepaid recharge plan, then you will get a total of whopping 11GB of data free from Airtel.
